How do you get rid of ants?

Identification of ants is paramount to the success of controlling Ants. There is basically only 2 types of feeding ants. That is:

Fats, Oils and Protein:

These ants will feed on any animal based products including pet food. Having the correct products which includes granular bait and non repellent sprays and gels will give the best chance of success. The granular bait is designed to allow the ant to take the product into the colony where they all feed on it. Greedy Gecko uses a DuoTech formulation bait that has 2 active constituents. These are Hydramethlnon which targets the castes and Pyriproxyfen which targets the Queen and larvae. Within 2-3 weeks you will find a significant drop in ant population and complete control in approximately 2 months. The non repellant sprays are designed to transfer from ant to ant and is not detectable. They transfer the product by contact, grooming and when they feed or exchange food. The result is to have the colony affected and therefore it will collapse.

Sugar:

The DuoTech granular bait is also affective on sugar feeding ants. Sugar feeders can change their diet increasing their intake of protein throughout the year, particular when the colony is producing young. There are many products on the market available to pest technicians, but having 25+ years experience and trialling many different brands, we believe we know the best preforming products. No only do we use the duel action granular bait, we also use a gel for internal ant infestations with the active indoxacarb. This is affective on multiple ant species, is translucent, non staining and no odour. It holds its integrity for a long period of time which allows the ant to consume higher amounts, giving a better chance of colony control.

After 2 unsuccessful treatments with other companies I was told to try Greedy gecko,  I instantly noticed the difference and was finding dead spiders everywhere within an hour. What do Ants eat?

Ants will feed on liquids comprising of sap from trees or plants, invertebrates or from their larvae that accept plant and animal tissue. Some ants do have a close relationship with natural world including plants and insects. In some cases, ants will attend or feed these partners in turn receive a sugar rich meal or secretion. Ants will enter your property in most cases looking for either food or moisture. On some occasions, they will enter say the roof cavity when there is a food source e.g. dead insects or a dead rodent and can make a nest as the cavity is a perfect place for shelter. General Insect and Ants:

From $200 inc GST

We combine our general insect treatment service and add an extra non repellant product. If the activity is inside the building, we also use a non repellant ant gel. The combination of all 3 products gives the benefit of the barrier kill on contact and the return to nest and gives us the best chance of solving the issue.

Perimeter Treatment:

From $300 inc GST 

A broad based perimeter treatment covering 150 q/m that protects your drive, gardens and lawns from damage caused by ants. We use a 100% safe pyrethroid product that’s safe to use in domestic and commercial properties. The product bonds to the soil molecules where there is no leaching, creating a barrier lasting over 12 months.
