How do you get rid of German Cockroaches?
German cockroaches can have a longer incubation period for their eggs than other roaches. They are often laid in and around the motors of white goods such as fridges, microwaves, toasters and even your coffee machine. So as the general insect treatment is biodegrading, therefore loosing its toxicity, the eggs can then hatch and the issue continues. To counter this, our German Cockroach treatment uses multiple products particularly non repellent gels, sprays and insect growth regulators. Even though we use multiple products, these are 100% safe and are all registered to be used in domestic and commercial buildings. Unfortunately using retail products from supermarkets and hardware stores in most cases, will not solve your issue. Identifying the insect, and therefore selecting the correct product is paramount to controlling the infestation.
These include sprays applied onto surfaces and gels placed in your kitchen cupboards, particularly on the hinges. PLEASE BE AWARE, you will see an increase in activity after we treat your property. This is a sign the insect has touched the treated surface and is in the process of dying. This can happen days even weeks after we provide the German Cockroach treatment. The roaches will come in contact with the treated surfaces and ingest the gels. As they are non repellent, they can continue to survive for a few hours. This allows the product to pass along and penetrate into the colony. This process takes time and in some cases 3 to 4 weeks before you see an obvious reduction in activity. Some of the infected roaches will die within the area where they lay their eggs. Roaches are cannibalistic and the newly hatched roaches will feed on the dead ones. Gross yes, but this is what breaks the cycle. So long story short, you need to know the correct product to use on the targeted species.
*If the infestation is severe (this is usually caused by not acting early or trying to treat the problem yourself) you may need a follow up service and in some cases, multiple treatments.*
